SCNPd - HYderabad JAC Preparatory meeting

Minutes of SCNPD – JAC – Hyderabad held on 30th August 2013 at Lions Bhavan

Representatives from AISCCON, APSCCON, FAPSCCO, TCSSCON, Aasara and HelpAge organised and formed JAC for SCNPD for 2013 for Hyderabad. Office bearers of several SCAs in Hyderabad attended the meeting. All of them pledged full support for observing SCNPD.

·         Demands finalised in core committee meeting of 26th:
·         Minimum Universal pension for all 60+ should be Rs 2000 per month
·         Minimum Pension for RETIREES (including public &private sector / unorganised sector) should be on par with Central Government pensioners.
·         Full implementation of MWPSCA in Andhra Pradesh – including setting up of old age home in every district for indigent senior citizens
·         Aarogyasri should be extended to APL senior Citizens on premium sharing basis.
·         Bus Concession in AP for senior Citizens
·         Main meeting will be in Lions Bhavan on 16th August 2013
·         During 1st to 15th local individual meetings by SCAs on SCNPD may be arranged at their convenience when member meet as per usual schedules. (SCAs)
·         HelpAge will print / prepare pamphlets, brochures, banners, placards, posters etc and distribute to SCAs from their own budget. Matter, design, quantity and all other details to reach Mr Satish of HelpAge by 5th August 9963716618. This requirement  may be  for central main meeting and local SCA meetings. (Mrinal / Satish)
·         There will be a Press meet on 13th at Basheerbagh. Time will be announced over phone / SMS (Linga Reddy)
·         Letters of Appeal / demand / memorandums to a) ministers b) Politicians c) media will be ready by 5th ( VNR).
·         Text for handbill / pamphlet in English & Telugu will be sent to Satish before 5th (VNR)
·         Mr IVLN Chary suggested wearing black badges by all senior citizens. Suggestion was accepted. He will coordinate with HelpAge and arrange to get badges printed and distributed.
·         Mr Radhakrishnamurthy gave Rs 200 & Fapscco gave Rs 1000 towards expenses.
